February of last year Chris started working at rent-a-center. So in just over a year he has never had a whole weekend off, he has driven an hour to get to work, and worked with seriously annoying customers. In October he decided he was not going to get stuck at Rent-a-Center for the rest of his life and enrolled in school. Beforehand he asked his manager Victor if he would be willing to work with him and he said he would. Well at the beginning of the year Victor was fired and they brought a new guy in who was also "fine" with working with his schedule. Well last week the new guy tells Chris that "the regional manager" has decided if Chris can't work the hours they want him to, he can't work there anymore and needs to find a new job. Heaven forbid he should want to go to school to better himself!??!?!?!? Anyways chris has been applying for every computer job he could find.
So he interviwed for a job today, a job that he would enjoy and give him experience in his area of emphasis in his degree. And it would be the PERFECT job for our family. We would be able to eat dinner together at a decent hour and spend some time before he has to go to school. The pay is good enough that I probably wouldn't have to go back to work and could continue to stay home with our sweet baby boy! He would only have a 10-15 minute commute. and one of the best parts... AFFORDABLE BENEFITS! So prayers please people. MUCH NEEDED, MUCH APPRECIATED!

Tristan Boy is 5 moths old!

A year ago right now......

Tristan looked like this. A teeny tiny little bean

with teeny little arms and legs and tht teeny

little head and a teeny little heartbeat only

weighing an not even half of an ounce!

Today...
Tristan is a smiley, giggly and happy 5 month old. He weighs 17 lbs and is about 26 to 27 inches long. He eats 5 to 6, 6 ounce bottles every day. He sleeps through the night and recognizes my voice. He smiles when I walk in his room in the morning to get him. He loves his dad and smiles when he comes home. It is so amazing to me that a year ago he was the size of a teeny tiny little pea and now he is a 17 lb big boy! I marvle at the wonderful gift our Heavenly Father gave me to bear children. A year ago right now, I was scared out of my mind. I! ME! I was going to be a mother! I had never been left alone with an infant in my entire life! Being the youngest in my family I really had never had the opportunity. I was so scared that the baby wouldnt like me, that we wouldnt make it, that we wouldnt be able to pay for it. That we wouldnt be able to finish school. Today we have a bunch of medical bills, my house is a disaster, and we have moved twice. Chris works 8 hours a day and then goes to school for 2 hours, add 2 hours on that for the commute and that is his day. Things are hard yet I am the happiest I have ever been. I would not trade Tristan for the world. The Lord has provided for us in so many ways this past year and I could not feel more blessed.

My Little Tristan

This little guy is growing and changing so much! I can't believe how big he is getting! Here is just a few new things that I have noticed about him in the last couple of weeks!

Double Jointed thumbs just like his daddy.

He is holding and playing with toys.

He has found his thumbs and oh boys they are
delicious! He hasnt stopped sucking on them
since!

This little guy will stare you down until you look at him and talk to him! If I am playing on my computer or watching TV and stop looking at him he doesnt stop cooing at you till you notice him and reply! We are having so much fun with him! he is such a sweetie! Just as we speak he is fallin asleep sitting up on his daddys lap making mommys heart melt!

Tristan and Rice Cereal 4 months

THIS IS GROSS STUFF MAN!

So we tried Rice Cereal for the first time and it didnt go over so well but dang he is CUTE! just look at that face :)

No he did not get it on his forhead... Mom was just a little more careful than that. Poor little guy not only inherited his mothers eyes and nose and mouth and cheeks and chin, but also her skin. :( I have had horrible excema since I was a baby and Tristan has developed it too all over his poor little head. So we have a nice layer of zinc on it and put a hat on it to keep it protected. poor little guy :(

Tristans 4 Month Appointment

Tristan is 4 Months old! Oh my gosh its gone fast! We went and saw the Doctor today and Tristan is 16 lbs exactly, which is in the 70th percentile. His head is 42 1/2 inches and in the 50th percentile. he is only 24 and 1/2 inches long which is only in the 25th percent! So he is a little short.. Go Figure his dad is only 6 feet tall. ;)
he got two shots today and it really wasnt as bad as it was last time. He cried for about 2 seconds and then was over it. It makes it much less traumatic for his mother that he really didn't make a big fuss about it. :)
I LOVE THIS SWEET BOY!

I am a blogging SLACKER!

I need to be better at this. Blogging is so cool and its such a great way to keep people who care to be updated on our lives. So I am going to make a late new years resolution to be a blogger. Here is what has happened since the last time I posted.

Here is a picture of me on September 12, 2009! Chris and my 1 year anniversary and exactly 12 days before I gave birth to the sweetest, most beautiful baby Boy I have ever seen. I felt sooooo Huge and so ready to have him! I just can't beleive how lucky I am to have this precious little boy in my life.

This is baby Tristan about 5 seconds after he came out.. still goopy and everything. :) He was beautiful from the moment he came out. His skin color was so pretty and natural and he didnt have any bruises or anything from the journey here. I am amazed at the spirit he has brought into our home and for the person he has turned me into. I have become more patient and understanding. I have learned to listen to what my son is trying to tell me. Becoming a mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I have been so blessed with this beautiful family. We took these pictures when Tristan was 2 months old with Mckenzie Scott Taggart who is a wonderful photographer! Tristan was soooo sleepy the whole time!
Tristan was such a good sport while jenny and I played dress up with him and took pictures. He was two weeks old in this picture. He has changed SOO much!
